Dr. Atish Narayanrao Bakane is one of the most prominent and dynamic Paediatric Hemato-Oncologist and BMT Expert India with international repute who has an experience of working with most experienced centres. Hematopoetic Stem cell Transplantation is considered as the most precise form of curative modalities for various benign and malignant disorders Currently he is working as Principal Consultant and Head of the Department Paediatric Hemato-Oncology, Bone marrow transplantation and Cellular therapy at NewEra hospital and research centre, Nagpur, Maharashtra.

Formerly he worked as Consultant PHO & BMTCT, Apollo Hospital, Delhi.

Dr Atish has a vast experience of working at leading hospitals of India including state of art cancer facility at Apollo Cancer centre, Chennai; King Edvard Medical college and hospital, Mumbai; Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi and many others. He went to Spain to get further training in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and successfully completed International Transplantation course under the aegis of European Blood and Marrow Transplantation.

TRAINING


He has several years of experience and training in India at resident , registrar and consultant level. He also has experience in paediatric Haemato Oncology and BMT in different tertiary care hospitals in India, as registrar and fellow and was involved actively in evaluating and treating patients with primary immunodeficiency disorders, Leukemias, Lymphomas, solid tumours including Neuroblastoma, Rhabdomyosarcoma, Retinoblastoma, Ewing’s sarcoma, PNET, GCT, Brain tumours and other rare tumours. My training in both general paediatric and paediatric specialities include outpatients, in patients, day care, and on calls responsibilities. He also have research experience.


He has successfully completed European Blood and Marrow Transplantation ( EBMT) international transplant course from Barcelona, Spain in 2018.


He has been invited for fellowship in PHO and BMT by Great Ormand Street Hospital London, but could not go due to Covid 19 Pandemic.
